The Psion Series 7, a subnotebook from the year 2000, featured a clamshell design with a color VGA touchscreen and QWERTY keyboard. Running EPOC (precursor to Symbian), it synced via RS-232 and supported CompactFlash II and PC Card expansion. A variant of the corporate-focused netBook, the Series 7 had less RAM (some replaced with ROM), though it could be upgraded. It also included IrDA for connectivity.
